Our First Monthly Brewer Q&A I would like to announce our first brewer Q&A! On April 30th at 7:00 MDT. I would like to Welcome Ryan Pachmayer as he will answer any of your questions here on this server about brewing big beers and brewing with barrels. Ryan is a BJCP Certified Beer Judge, and he has won many gold medals in competitions and a great communicator when it comes to brewing. Ryan has been a guest on two of our podcast episodes.

There are so many open source projects you can find out there when that revolve around homebrewing. From some of the topics, we have discussed on the show like Fermentrack and CraftBeerPI. There is a ton of projects you could be using today to help improve your brewing.
Today’s show is a bit of a different format. I will not have a guest on this episode today we are going to deep dive into a specific homebrewing subject. That subject is going to be fermentation chambers and temp control. We will also go out to some to the brewing community and see how then do temp control. Sit back and relax and lets deep dive together.
I personally have not home-distilled. I have seen it done but never have I distilled myself. With the advent of these new electric brewing systems where you can but a still top for them, I wanted to talk to someone about what you would need to get started. Then I asked George Duncan of Barley and Hops Brewing on YouTube to join us and talk about what you would need to get started. We also talked about the cool hydrometer he built for the blind using and Arduino. It is super cool.
Peter Symons is an avid writer and researcher of historic beer styles. He has already written two books on his journey to deep dive into the history of Australian beers. His newest book Guil Brews dives into the history of Cornish beers of his youth and the history of these beers and how to make them.
