There are many different approaches to the iSpindle and Joey Joe Joe Jr. has designed a version that is a little easier to get up and running. He also has a bunch of other open source projects he is working on over at his website Open Source Distilling. Today we dive in to all of his projects!

I personally have not home-distilled. I have seen it done but never have I distilled myself. With the advent of these new electric brewing systems where you can but a still top for them, I wanted to talk to someone about what you would need to get started. Then I asked George Duncan of Barley and Hops Brewing on YouTube to join us and talk about what you would need to get started. We also talked about the cool hydrometer he built for the blind using and Arduino. It is super cool.

I was scouring the nets looking for someone that has built an AC unit glycol chiller. Then I saw the videos that George Duncan has been making on his Barley and Hops Brewing Youtube channel. At that moment I knew He had to be on the show. Not only has he build a similar project he has a ton of content to dive down a very long rabbit hole of homebrewing projects and test. George is a funny, passionate homebrewer and he is very dedicated to his community and following. So stick with me while we wile we talk to George Duncan on Homebrewing DIY.
